Actually there were other mentionable and noteworthy quotes of the days but i couldnt remember them or they were too dangerous to put up, in case of RJ's flippant comment about Youzi marrying someone else.

Second performance by the Risen was pretty alright today. The English Service one was far better, i felt because the chinese one had practically no proper settings for the guitar so no sound coming out of the amplifier =/ and the performance for the chinese service was a little too fast.

Good thing we rectified the errors and "miscalculations" in the English Service Performance. Phew. Thanks to the Lord!

haha, cliched.

My sister's personal statement for the University of Pennsylvania (dunno about sp) is really, really scary. I look at it, and what goes it, i only understand 50% of what she's writing. I'll try to recall what she wrote in some parts.

"And this school offers a cornucopia of activities and Business intellects etc etc etc."

note that i only saw the cornucopia, which means something like kaleidoscope. If you dont know what that means in the context, go ask the friendly neighbourhood policeman.

I also don't know what that random statement was for.

and blablablabla. note that the ancient greek word above in yellow was just the tip of the iceberg. If you don't know that phrase, go ask the fellow neighbourhood criminal! Woot.

Anyway, just yesterday, on the fateful 28th July 2007, the computer Slix that had served the family for about 5-7 years already suddenly, with a force of a spark, decided to crumble down into eternity and passed along. Thus, the author of this blog was suddenly distraught because everything that was related to school was stored on that computer was gone, at least temporarily.

This meant that the ERP that was kindly extended by yours truly's form teacher was stuck there! with no form of technology that highly advanced to be able to retrieve the lost information, the author of this blog was only left with the option to retype everything that was in the ERP and finish it.

AAH! circumstances.

Looking on the bad side,

a) waste my energy
b) waste my time
c) waste blog entry to-be-filled space. hoho.
d) waste sadness and creates more despair, boohoo.
e) waste money $$.

Looking on the good side,

a) new computer, perhaps!

haha, this good point probably > the other bad points. hoho.

Excellent number of assignments and projects going on currently. Hooray!

Bleargh, i don't really like my current orthodontist (sp?) because i feel he's kind of cynical and hypocritical at times. He doesn't like to associate with certain things that he feels will pull him down even though they are associated with him in one way or another. He also likes to treat people (especially young people) like they're just kids in one way or another.

sheesh.

I Believe;

Philosophy lesson was funny today. There was this discussion and me, yeeshing and ervin were supposedly the "recorder" of the information so we were tasked with writing down the information discussed on the board.

Don't know how things came to this.

ROFL. The big words by Ervin (who did that randomly) and of course, the aka Patrick by me because patrick was raising weird Analogies while i was pointing at the words above. In the end, he shouted,

"SCREW YOU MICHAEL."

And got marked down by Weixuan who was "reporting" for him for respect. LOL.

LP stands for Lionel.P, btw.

If you don't get the picture above

a) you're not from 2A

b) you weren't paying attention during philosophy.

Screwed my Chinese CCT and left out 2c) for Math TA. DIE.

Sugar We're Going Down.

Feel like using colours all of a sudden. Makes a difference/change from the boring old grey/white, don't you think? (Note: Apologies for those that are unable to think.)

English CCT was pretty okay today. The comprehension was on the part where Bassanio was asking Antonio to lend him some money (in modern context," sponsor" is more correct). Bleh, I hope I got the part where they were asking for the suitor's name/weaknesses correct. Wrote some weird stuff about County Palatine fighting his own shadow.

En Garde!

Still can't get the hang of doing Rubik's Cube 3rd layer though. Clement won't teach me =/

Today I got persuaded by KT and Ruijie to go gym to "play" for a short while. This play turned out in the end that Seal, Ray Chieh and Beast go to the other (weights) gym while KT was doing crazy stuff. Zebedee and Ying jie were revising pommel, floor and Parallel Bars.

FYI, Ying Jie went in School Uniform (like almost all of us) AAH prefect book him! While doing macaroft (sp?) he split his long pants as well! kekeke.

playing turned out to me doing some weird tramp routine involving baranis and back somers. I can do one (or a few in a row) now!

Well, still can't beat someone who can do 8 in a row. =.= Darn it!

Anyway, KT was being mad and trying all sorts of crazy stuff. For example, he did double front somer off the high bar just for fun and almost attempted a double back into the pit. However, I stopped him because he doesnt have any experience and he almost killed himself by doing it (one only) onto a mat (sponge pit, too). He also did high bar back somer dismount off the other high bar, but didn't stand though.

So much for playing. More of trying to kill himself.

Wow, one of my less nonsensical photos in ages. Math TA and Chinese CCT on Wednesday! Zomgut zomgut ggxxnoobs.blogspot.com

Runaway;

Note to self: get life insurance before playing with Qishao. Understand how to tackle people in Judo before handling him. As the proverb goes: "Don't play with fire or you'll get burnt." Hot stuff.

Before handling the extremely volatile species of the Zachaeukyus Qishaonoom , one must learn the art of supporting a weight of about 20-30 KG before attempting to carry the species. As he is prone to wiggling about and thus loosening your grip, sign first a disclaimer before attempting to subdue this extremely hyperactive animal.

One must also subdue the art of laughter as this animal has laughter-causing actions which may weaken you and before you know it, he's tackled you! and unless you can regain control of your strength, you have absolutely no hope as he bounces on you. Harsh.

Serving the ELS for music guitar wasn't that bad, though I screwed up some notes (=/) and went out of beat sometimes. Thank God for UNCLE Leonard, who really helped me with this stuff man. Thanks Samuel for helping me to buy the Soya Bean Drink too! :)

EL CCT Tomorrow on MOV Act 1! And I haven't actually sat down to properly study, but who cares?!

it's over and done with,
and I think it was kind of unexpected and disappointing at times
yet some were actually very happy moments.

judge didn't count my back layout for vault, hence the 7.95 score.
dont know why my floor score got screwed up, 7.65 only. Tried to make it as clean as possible, and I would usually get higher, yet maybe everything happens for a reason sometimes.

living your life by other's wishes isn't a good thing sometimes. still, i think it's quite inevitable sometimes because singapore and the world has changed so much that mostly peer pressure and your outside appearance counts now.

still, i find it's kinda wasted. thought i could so much more, but judges' scores command all.

Not! :)

Zero Hour;

Congratulations to the C Division '07 of RI for getting 3rd Overall Placing in the Inter-school Gymnastics Competition 2007 this year. You all faced tough opposition from SJI (whom all had previous gym experience) and HCI (mostly have gym experience) and managed to beat down other schools like the improving ZhongHua Secondary School.

Good job guys! Also to KT, who got Individual 1st for Parallel Bars, breaking Ari's individual first spree. Frankly, I thought KT's marks were a little too high though, but anyway well done to you as well.

--

B Division High Bar was much better than I thought I would perform yesterday. Albeit yesterday, I kept screwing up and dying even in the first part of the routine, but today was better. Still, I wish I could've done my halfgiants transition to dismount a little more smoothly because I lost a lot of momentum which = minus a lot of marks.

8.45 was my score upon 10.0 for High Bar. Zeb tied with me while Ying Jie got 8.65. Seng Henk was freaking out about his routine yet he got 9.20 =.=. Asnawi got 9.25! (and individual third, I might add)

Bad Thing was everyone in HCI B'Div got at least 9.0 and above and ate our scores. Ouch.

Good thing was that nobody in SJI managed to surpass my score of 8.45. The highest guy got 8.20, though I thought that Jin Yu should've gotten higher (7.90) like around 8.0-8.5?

Zhong Hua had one guy that got 8.65 (combined school gymnast, hence the score). The rest got lower.

Riverside Secondary School poof-ed off to nowhere and didn't turn up o_O

Current Standings:

1st HCI
2nd RI
3rd SJI
4th ZHS

--
On the side note, I managed to solve the second layer of Rubik's Cube today thanks to Ruijie! Woo. I still can't get the hang of the third layer, though =/
--

Tomorrow's the big day man. Floor and Vault are in the morning, so in the afternoon i'll be able to slack more. Hooray!

Still, I also don't know why i'm feeling particularly pressured to perform well for the Floor and Vault. It's never occurred to me who might be watching and that promises, well-wishes, reputation is all at stake here.

It's all or nothing. It's also time to see how my promises are able to be fufilled and if risks like these are all worthwhile.

be that way, just for yourself.

Let's go. Final Release.

Simple and Clean;

Jiayou C Division Gym! Tomorrow, you guys are going to ROCK THE HOUSE, no matter how well/badly you do. Keep the team spirit alive!

Ack my HIGH BAR is so screwed. I think Zeb's gonna compete tomorrow because today I also don't know why mine is SUPER screwed. Bet the SJI and HCI people were laughing their lungs out. =/

The new floor @ Bishan is SUPER BOUNCY man. woot.

Number 10 this time! :)

Anyway there's this girl that looks like QISHAO from HPPS gym. The pictures:

HAHA. The second one is of course QISHAO. The infamous one. If you don't know what I'm saying, you haven't seen my handphone videos before. HAHAHA. They look superbly alike right? But too bad Qishao isnt smiling in this photo because if not, they'll look super alike.

Oh, you knew that already?

--

Gym grounds try-out tomorrow! I'm not sure what to expect from the supposedly new floor, but I hope that the high bar won't be as rough and the vault floor wont be so tough so as to not kill our legs.

Pray for the best, yeah?

Quote of the Day:"Nellis Air Base"-Transformers Movie 2007

Bonjour.

My cousin thinks that his arm strength is more than mine. HAHA. Who knows, maybe someone that injured his arm after 4 push-ups actually may have more to prove. FYI, gymnasts are actually one of the most proportionate strong people you can find, so don't kill yourself when you see Yong Sheng doing more then 12 pull-ups.

That means you, Samuel. HEHE.

Sigh, Gym training on a SUNDAY from 10-2. Even though I know it's meant for the best (Competition is next week!), I still wonder how i'm going to make it for rehearsal that day, which takes place at about 12.45. Maybe I'll be going, maybe I won't be. Happy Samuel? :)

Samuel typed the following or said stuff that is stated below:

Hmmm. WHAT?! -Signs of disbelief- What's your problem. Are you going to church tomorrow or not? STOP TYPING WHAT IM SAYING. WAH LAO.

Okay.

Finally. HEYY!

Lalala.

You were a noob, that's why you deserved this terrible fate. haha sorry to all the blog readers, i'm desperately trying to lengthen my post count/length.

OI! Super Bo Liao leh.

I also think so.

What's post count?

Don't tell you.

Idiot.

Anyway, now I've decided to use christmas colours just for the heck of it. I know it's not Christmas, Sam you noobcake. I'm just going to write a small letter to Santa. Does he use hotmail?

For competition, btw, we're deciding to only bring those gymmers that have REGULAR attendance. That doesn't mean people like LOUIS, because he's being a stupid ponner and using gym as a pass-off tactic to impress people. He also just goes there to look at girls in tight clothing or just have some female interaction during competition.

say hello to uber-cuteness, serena! haha she looks weird in photos. Seriouslyy.

Hereby marks the 200th post of this blog. Celebrate!

[Everything below is fictitious, and may or may not be realized]

PT Camp 2007 Proposal
  • Make those that want to come for the camp sign this contract that nothing will be blamed on the organizers if they go home acting like wimps
  • When they come, treat them like army recruits
  • Assign CREATIVE PT such as running around the school singing the school anthem
  • assign breaks whenever deemed necessary
  • approximately 3 day 2 Nights.
  • Last day for recreation, possible outdoor activities including games
  • Night PT! Including rounds around the track, when it is cooler then
  • Morning PT at the Astroturf, maybe Soccer?
  • Other PT may include the gym at the auditorium, but it may or may not be open.
  • Be evil, yet unreasonable :)

Cough. It should be suited for secondary ones, i may add.

A Japanese Tetris Gameshow made by the Japanese, thansk to Kern Choong for providing the link. It's worth a watch, and a few laughters too!

Movie Review: Order of the Phoenix

This movie was okay, but not as nice as the 4th or 2nd or 1st one but better then the 3rd movie. It was a little dry in content and it didn't explain much and left out some IMPORTANT details that eventually contributed to its downfall.

Of course, the effects were superb and the climax was INTENSE, with Dumbledore and Voldermort duelling each other. The CGI and graphics were tip-top, though I wish that they would've included more content.

The actors were good as always, including the addition of Luna Lovegood and Dolores Umbridge. For newcomers, they were pretty good, especially Dolores Umbridge. It even made Ruijie want to slap her as well. She played very well as the know-it-all, arrogant and evil person she should be. Luna was also not bad, playing well as a blur/weird girl wandering around with insights of wisdom emerging at times.

The newspaper gave it 3/5. I'm giving it 2.8/5.

I'm terribly sorry about the recent short posts.

Kingdom Hearts OST Soundtrack is seriously either depressing/romantic/hyper/nostalgic. Go listen, if you don't get what I mean. Serious!

Now, we see the Darikus Squishess. He is appearing to be in a state of being forced against a glass window, hence its nature.

Here, we have a LIVE specimen of the extremely rare and extremely skinny, the Patrikus Applicious. This particular specimen seems to be squished under (cough) and thus this picture could only be taken @ a blind angle, albeit the other way round. This fascinating specimen is also known to be called as "anorexic", but he actually eats ALOT. Beware, and do not approach at all costs, especially if you are a MAC HATER.

true story about this great father's love for his son. Hope we can all do the same with each other!

Today started off horribly.

For 0, sian-ified dream. maybe i'll say, maybe not.

For one, I woke up at about 6.50am today, so I was almost late for school. What a good way to start off a monday morning, man. Reckon I could've woken up earlier if not for stuff like...

A CHINESE GRADED COMPO APPEARING IN FRONT OF MY FACE. just realised that it was GRADED and had to hand it up like today. In the end, i rushed through it throughout the entire day, because Chinese was last period, thankfully.

ANOTHER CHINESE TING XIE (spelling) just occuring. On 3 chapters somemore! =.= But the spelling was super funny because there were some people that ATTEMPTED to cheat (cough, giraffe, cough) and basically everyone was laughing away because it was quite clear that not many studied.

Patrick, while the chinese teacher was reading out the words, that he would sleep and wait for the teacher to say something that he knows. I told him to keep waiting.

"Sinc" boy. HAHA. (inside joke, sorry)

But it really turned out fine, in the end, because of Jesus Christ. I find that the song titled "Jesus Take the Wheel" by Carrie Underwood really applies here. Not to mention some other people that were really nice about me being kind of snappy today.

Thanks, really.

T-1 week or so.

Hooray for Inter-house Photography for Raffles Instituition! It has come and the theme is CONTRAST. So, for all Morrisonians, please submit a maximum of 5 photos because every photo earns the house 1 point.

Thus the equation is: More photos, More points!

On Saturday, we watched TRANSFORMERS. ith gym people including Ruijie [Roti John], Yuxuan [ACTCUTEBOY] Pok [poPok] Ben Low [WAH JI!] Xavier [Beast]. Actually, that's almost everyone, including Nellie.

Anyway, this movie is SUPER COOL.

Before the movie, Ruijie was making this equation on how to make a GOOD movie. His equation turned out to be:

Cool Graphics + Cool Effects + Hot girl = Good movie.

Proceed to throw stones at him, thank you.

Beforehand, we managed to convince pok by saying that this movie had cool CARS (he's obsessed over them, seriously) and EFFECTS. However, we had to reveal the trump card ("chiobu"-Ruijie) because he wouldn't budge. He immediately agreed after hearing that, nonetheless.

Back to the movie.

It was SUPER COOL, and unlike the usual brainless and plotless movies, this one had some morals and actually a STORYLINE. Combine that with scintilliating graphics and captivating (sorry about the language, i'm trying to make it sound impressive) sounds and AMAZING CGI, this movie was a BLAST. The robots looked SUPER realistic and everything was very well planned.

Because of the drifting skills, there were like 20+ drivers. They were seriously PRODED because there was this truck that actually DRIFTED perfectly. We were joking about Pok when the credits scene was rolling because there was this section citing the stunt driver's names. Suddenly, we see:

"Leong Yean Pok, Lead Stunt Driver/Co-ordinator"

Wonder how much they spent on the movie alone.

Rating:9.0/10
Superbly done, unexpectedly. Very nice. DIE DIE MUST WATCH. If you don't, quick, get a life insurance before I shoot you.

Boo! Ruijie! The girl isn't that pretty la. so-so. Wonder what are they all fussing about.

Today at about 3.30 I went with Kenneth Wee to Alexandra Hospital to shoot butterflies (no, not with an AK-47 Rifle) with our cameras and newly-added addition to the family, the Sigma 70-300 Canon AF EFS lenses which has a macro function, effectively making it a pseudo-macro lens (budget type) which was EXCELLENT for its relatively cheap price. It also has a "Luxury" (fake one) insignia printed onto it because of the red ring.

Heehee.

RIMB Concert!

It was pretty good on the whole (HEAR THAT PATRICK) and it was bang-for-the-buck because the admission ticket cost $5, which is considerably cheaper then the past concerts which ranged from $10 to $15.

The school auditorium was a well-chosen place, despite the fact that the stage was quite small and appeared rather cramped sometimes. The seats were rather comfortable, though :) In actual fact, I think more people (outsiders) than the RI students came to watch this performance, which is kind of sad because aren't we supposed to have this sort of Rafflesian Spirit? [cliche ends]

Haha! Patrick looked weird (in a professional manner) playing with all the formal clothes on him. Zuohao was there too! Along with Zeyang, Dexter, etc... (I've found out I have alot of RIMB friends or acquaintances, which I cannot spell properly)

Altogether, there were about 8-10 songs played [12-14 if you include the numerous ENCORES!] and despite the slightly shaky start, it was much better as it progressed. As YX pointed out, it was unconventional that at one point of a song, they started "la-la-ing" along to the tune, which was funny, yet effective.

I particularly liked the person playing the drums, because his timing was pretty good. There was this person who was playing the flutes, and he looked CONSTIPATED. Super funny. He was like all red in the face and looked "focused."

The SYF piece entitled "as the Ocean Glows(needs verification)" was not bad as well.

Towards the end, there were like people shouting ENCORE ENCORE! and then I think RI people joined in. It sounded pretty scripted. Hmmm.

Whatever it was, it just stretched the 5 bucks used. HEH.

Biology was much better-censored today. I'll keep a note NOT to sit next to Lin Sen or Wendi or any of the "mature" people whenever Biology lesson occurs.

A teacher was actually impressed by our class for once! Thanks, Mrs Ong.

During recess, we were playing cards halfway when Ms Chia walked in. We immediately panicked and Lionel and Patrick and Ervin deserted me. Patrick managed to "donate" his jacket to hide the cards on the floor that were BLATANT. I used my jacket and thanks to timing and on Ming Chan's part, we managed to conceal the cards for the entire English Period. Phew.

MAFTI day tomorrow!

Wonder what I should wear, according to the guidelines (roughly) below:

1) Either your top or your bottom or your underwear must have the colour scheme of green/black/white. For example, you can wear a green shirt and have blue jeans, or black pants and a red polo t-shirt.

2) No cross dressing of other school's uniform. Supposedly, some years back, there were some people who actually did. There was also one year where a guy dressed up in an RGS uniform and came to school. LOL. Sorry Louis.

3) No wearing girl's clothes. 'Nuff said. [Sorry to any hopeful individuals out there]

Chinese lesson was rather spastic-ated today. As me and patrick didn't bring our 2B textbooks, we couldn't do much except stone around and do nothing [another form of SLACKING] MingChan suddenly had a rechannelation of his old-spirit and instead of being cooped up at a corner mugging away studying, he started making the class livelier by being his old self. Hope he stays that way :) Less classtime.

Biology lesson was seriously wrong today. TCY showed us a video of [cough] fertilization and it hinted of an activity that occured before the fertilization occured. I didn't recognize half of the video. Serious!

Wendi's pretty good at the subject, scoring full marks for the diagnostic test.

"What does this tell you about Wendi? [15m] "

You are given 40 minutes to write an SBQ based on the source above. "Wendi's pretty good at the subject [Biology], scoring full marks for the diagnostic test."

I'm not going into any details about the lesson.

Anyway, after school Ervin and I went to Paya Lebar [Albeit taking MRT from Bishan to City Hall and changing to EW line to Paya Lebar]. I recognized that this was Ruijie's route home. Darn! Should've asked him to wait a while.

We managed to find the shop that sold these stuff. It was pretty cheap, just about $10.80 for a dry-fit. However, i wish that it could've been a bit closer to school >_>

Waiting for Bus 48 @ newton sucked man.

Knock on My Door;

Hello people,

physics test was a total fiasco for me today. It was rather easy, yet i SCREWED it up big time. I'll be lucky to get 8/12 for this test. If i get 10/12 i'll probably be hacking already.

Man, I'm quite disappointed with my Geography CCT results. Thought I could get a bit higher.

Gym was pretty okay today because whenever we have trials, we usually end earlier and there's less stuff to do. Pommel was hilarious because it involved a certain someone and another someone, whom put his/her face into he hands and showed symptoms of "obsession" when a person was doing on the pommel.

That's obvious.

NYPS Funfair!

Went there after finishing the trials of gym that day. Dragged from 11am to about 12.20pm, and thus was late than intended time.

My brother and my father were being spastic along the way and kept asking about who I was going to meet there. Of course, my friends were. Sorry to burst your bubble.

This year's NYPS funfair was (in my opinion) better than last year's because last year's had less variety and the games weren't as fun. This year's games consisted of DUNK THE TEACHER [where you throw basketballs at this metal stick and if you hit, a teacher that is sitting on top of the pool on a sit will plunge in] and JOUST 'EM DOWN where you start wacking each other with some "weights" and hope the other person falls off this stand.

However, this year's funfair was still OVERPRICED [Talk about GST and the typical singaporean, huh]

I got scammed by some cute p3-p4 boys selling packet drinks for 1 dollar EACH. Talk about Great Singapore Sale.

In total, I spent 10 dollars worth of coupons on food and drinks.

Funny thing was that in DUNK THE TEACHER, Mr Zubir was using chinese and teasing the people [Primary School children] that were desperately trying to hit him down but kept missing/couldn't hit hard enough. When he had about 1-2 minutes left, however, Jeremy Chee [Sec 4 Water Polo Player] came along and played.

SPLASH SPLASH SPLASH.

My gosh, he throws pretty hard. Throw until don't need to hit the target hit the pole then can make the thing shake and make Mr Zubir fall off. And he does that with 1 hand too! Zomgut Zomgut.

Finally purchased the tickets from Yx. Thanks!

shitload of tests tomorrow. like 500000 tests tomorrow. good luck to all.

i'll need it.
