all that never was. | 7:32 AM
guess prefect investiture invites are a real killer. i think GMSS's invite still pwns ours, though, since i'm the designer along with guanlin and daniel chander.
sleeping at 12 and having to wake up in 6 hours is not a good thing, especially if you've been doing it for the past 3 days. Physics and maths test on thursday, good game. no time to study either. woohoo, irony. it's getting harder to concentrate. you don't know that, do you? |

me and you; | 6:27 AM
Hello readers!
Welcome back to Nellie's Primetime show of the night, where we will be delving into the very weird topic today: English Anecdotes. The 3A-ians who have so bravely undertaken this compulsory task to give an at least 1 minute personal speech on a topic that they are given. Examples of topic includes: "Poison", "When technology was a bane", "Eureka!", etc. Thus begins the investigation into these personal anecdotes and the personal and heartfelt stories that us 3A-ians derive from them. Many different subjects in our lives were uncovered, including...not so glamorous ones. Let's say, hmm, Josiah's topic on "POISON." Somehow, it got related to on how teenage relationships were like poison; you go in happy, you come out hurt. Somehow, that qualifies as an hasty generalization because not all teenage relationships are liddat though O_O but it was pretty amusing seeing how he was struggling to continue the speech because it was pretty embarrassing for him. Yoda's one was pretty ironic though. His topic: A fascinating Creature! It turned out to be a stingray. He had been finding out all about them (he's a bio pro, you see) since he was young and that ironically, he had been taken out of OBS because he got stung by a stingray. Irony and Tragedy, no? Zac's was the most interesting. Though it really shared the same topic as yoda's, it referred to a slightly...different type of organism. Let's play the guessing game! [His so called creature makes humanoids with the y-chromosome go crazy.] if you answered pornography, i seriously suggest that you get your brain checked and your bio teacher sacked too. however, if you answered girls! -rings bell- "DING DING DING DING!" you've got it correct. no prizes, however. it's seriously funny and how honestly true how it described girls as a "catalyst" to unlocking different personalities of guys. Like what he said, most guys in RI actually act gay just for the fun of it (Milton's declared himself 20% Gay and 80% straight, ftw) and the fun of irritating others, yet when girls appear in the picture, everyone starts becoming very gentlemanly and very "macho" in a sense. It's really quite sad you know, sometimes, to see your friends just change like that. And what's worse, people actually believe that that's the true side of them, while in RI you do see how they're really like as they've nothing to prove to others, or rather, themselves. Let's make a to-do list for me for the near future: -go back to NYPS on the 6/2 (February) -arrange TLL replacement for that wednesday -arrange replacements for guitar and chinese tuition -get phone back from repairs -finish up homework: -get yellow management file for philosophy -Do ORA card -give Nigel Fong CD for Raffles Trail -Do Kemama Shop Duty -Attend Oral Communications Lesson -go to Sam's Birthday Party -wish Zebedee a happy birthday (They share the same days! no wonder they're nice people) -arrange meeting with zongyi and shanzhi for photo-taking for RInspire -follow zongyi and shanzhi around in their daily lives (including CCA and class time) which i've absolutely no idea on how to do except to pon cca which = bad -take RInspire covershot which has to do with the theme: Take Flight -store songs into iPod which got restored, incidentally D: -train for gym, competition's coming up real fast! (can't believe i'm saying this) -stay away from milton who has a reputation of a gay rapist. ahaha joking. -Meet up the Invites people of the RIPB Investiture 2008 -Attend Peicai Secondary School Investiture on 28 January -Attend GMSS Investiture on 1st February -Attend NEP workshop on 2nd February and Sign Edusave Form and give by Monday and did i mention maintaining my grades and social life? sleeping is a good idea, too. as the wise man said; goodgametimestennoobs.blogspot.com Quote of the Day: "Now, I will show you my sperm!"-Mr Law (bio teacher). that was really accidental on his part. he wanted to show us diagrams of the male gamete, ftw. at least pledge-taking is over. well i'm not paralyzed, but i seem to struck by you i wanna make you move because you're standing still if your body matches what your eyes can do. |

ain't just another face. | 6:42 AM
goodbye taiwanese people!
it's been fun getting to know you all. especially receiving your presents, too :P but really, them coming has really taught me more about responsibility and tolerance in a sense, since some of them just keep running off the moment you take your eyes off them. i think i've drunk more milo then the healthy amount. hehe. School's getting wearisome. Quote of the Day:"You know, if James Goh was House Captain, he'll definitely choose 'GimmeMOOR gimmeMOOR'." - er, anonymous for fear of hidden mafia ninjas coming to assassinate me. pledge taking wasn't that bad. hope i don't screw up anyway. if only we could be a bit free-er. that'll give me more time to think. the way i do about you. |

ya feelin' lucky, punk? | 7:10 AM
"we the citizens of singapore, pledge ourselves as one united people. regardless of race, language or religion, to build a democratic society, based on justice and equality, so as to achieve happiness, prosperity and progress for our nation..."
This is basically what you hear every school morning as you wait for the usual announcements to air and get dismissed to class. Now, let me explain to you the sheer difficulty of this seemingly simple and straightforward task. First, the person leading has to memorize the ENTIRE stretch of words within about a mere 1 1/2 day's notice ; which he has to do this perfectly. Additionally, he has to know when to pause and when to emphasise certain words whilst reciting the pledge. He/she (in some cases) must make the effort to ensure that he does not zao sia (lose voice) as this will definitely incite humorous sounds from the audience of students. Furthermore, if he screws up big-time and makes a hiccup, he will be made the laughing stock of the entire school and tarnish the reputation of RIPB as supposed "student-leaders". This will definitely undermine his self-esteem and stamp whatever's left on his confidence into the ground beneath the podium. Lastly, the wait's harder then the thing itself. FINE FINE I'M DOING PLEDGE-TAKING FOR THE ENTIRE NEXT WEEK. along with junyang. hope he does all 5 days :D Class Outing was fun! thankfully didn't watch Cloverfield, or i'd might as well forget about sleeping already. Thanks to Guan Lin + Derek for organizing it. Quote of the Day:"At first, i thought Wendi was innocent."-John Yu feelin' lucky? take a chance, give it a try. the worst you could lose is simply your heart. |

stagnantation. | 6:19 AM
hello stagnant world.
hope it hasn't attracted many mosquitoes thus as far. Secondary 3 life after OBS's seriously been rather crazy, with me accidentally falling asleep at like 9.45 on 1 day due to exhaustion. Good thing about these few days that we're starting to wear long pants! -waves flag- it looks really dumb on me, i think. it's generally much warmer in general, and yes; people treat you with more respect now that you're a senior of some sort. I don't think i act like one though :O chem test tomorrow, ggxx. at least there's board meeting to look forward to. Quote of the Day:"Examtips: Jasdeep Jastips for Jasdeep Jokes." -Zac MY RE GROUP MEMBERS! JOIN SE3080! even the posts reminds me of you. |
