never thought so. | 8:17 AM
so much's been happening over the past few days that it's been virtually impossible to keep track of everything and everyone.
a) First dissection. hated it. b) Dramafeste '08 loved it. c) Chinese CCT hated it. e) weekends loved it. d) project work finish-up hated it. f) this weekend going-to love it. g) Chem OBA/English going-to hate it. more hates then love, but i think that's what keeps us sane at times. all the many different types of things you go through, they make you a little bit more human, chipping away bit by bit at the stony and seemingly unfallible exterior we put up. and for once, some do remember. English CCT on thursday, RInspire and Photog IHC Announcement tomorrow! Look out for it, and sorry to Biquan in advance xD Quote of the Day: "I can't wait to have my beautiful photos taken."-Kailun xixx! |

awake with the half of the world. | 8:19 AM
perhaps post 393 really likes me too much. it's like, hey! i want the page to stay at post 393, so you shouldn't blog.
no spirit for blogging coupled with last minute RE/Social Advoc work's killing my keyboard and eye cells. interhouse photog's coming up, but i can't compete because i'm in the organizing community. -sighs- good luck to all dramafesters! threeninethree!
that's my current post count, you see. and it's a nice number, too :] Gym Dinner today was absolutely a blast. I think i'll post about nats another day (think, not will) because it was pretty...smaller-scaled compared to the few years before. Fewer people, fewer spectators, fewer banners. Badminton was pretty fun though! Must be because RI wasn't competing :D Gym Dinner was at Sakura Restaurant which cost a friggin' $28 which resulted in me borrowing 10 and 6 bucks from Ruijie and Benlow respectively. Note to self to remember to pay them back :S The food was pretty ok for a buffet, i guess. halfway the Sprite turned to Carbonated water and the Shark's Fin wasn't really Shark Fin Soup, much to Kwuntong's relief. Desert was pretty much nice though, which made regular appearances at our table thanks to Pok's lego-building skills with the small (and cute) cheesecakes. After everyone was getting full, people started getting imaginative. Oysters suddenly looked alot like certain parts of the bodies while tempura squished in between sushi became an inseparable pair. That was, until it got eaten by Ruijie in a gruesome fashion. Shooting ice was rather sucky though. Straw wasn't the straight-kind, so they resorted to either a) catapulting ice at pok b) shooting toothpicks with straws at pok c) taking pictures of pok poor guy. Happy Birthday to Benlow and Xavier too! The fate of the remains of the extremely cheesy and milk-powerdish cake was decided by a finger game. Daojie ate it anyway. Zebedee got mobbed by photo-requests when the girls left. Being his agent would be absolutely lucrative. Guidelines would be something like this: 1) Ask for Name - $5 2) Ask for School - $5 3) Ask for Photo - $8 4) Ask for Number - $10 5) Ask for Address - $10 6) Ask for Email - $10 No need to work already. On a side note, i think everyone got really fat after the dinner. Stuffed and sleepy >_> thanks for today. Quote of the Day:"You know, there's this aura about *** when they perform. That's why i'm going to remember it always."-some rather random/friendly (and horny) HCI guy commenting on the girls' floor exercise routines. mind's set up. the rest's up to you now- |

sensitivity and sensibility; | 8:03 AM I think we could've gotten 2nd for B-Div, actually. there's no point for regret there's no point for living in the past there's only the promise of the future. let's take it. on a side note, the dark knight seems so temptingly scary. oh noes. Post of the Day:"The Grapes of Wrath!"-Kwun Tong maybe i'm just being too sensitive. but it didn't work with you, no? it ended up just dying out. |

seerahnadeh. | 8:28 AM
HCI's String Ensemble was pretty funny + weird, to say the list.
First of all, going there was hell. Next time i'm never going to take a taxi in the CBD area, i tell you. 7 bucks for a 4 minute ride. walking is good for health (and bad for your wallet as it keeps it fat). Found out that Adalyn wasn't going and Ryan was v. emo. :( he sponsored the ticket to Chern Hwee instead, so it was quite funny seeing Ryan suffering withdrawal symptons. cough cough. Taohui joined us (he was late) and it became really funny. WHAT NOT TO DO DURING CONCERTS: "Eh, I don't see an interval (in the concert). I DON'T SEE AN INTERVAL!"-Ryan "When does it end ah?" -Chern Hwee or a) Picking up a call (ryan) b) Sleeping (ryan) c) playing PSP and ipod during interval (ryan) d) Whispering every 10 seconds (everyone) e) shouting encore randomly (taohui) f) Introducing random guys (taohui) g) trying to find your PSP cover (taohui) i) blowing bubble-gum (chern hwee) Well at least it was nice on the whole, without the fact that it was HCI territory. I think my mum would've enjoyed it definitely, unlike some people in the audience :D Dinner after that was inversely fattening for me and my wallet. Quote of the Day:"Concert etiquette people, concert etiquette!" On a side note, good luck to all gymmers/trackers/judokas/bowlers for their competition IN A FEW HOURS! sorry for the slight bias. |

chronocality. | 7:20 AM
maybe we should've been there.
maybe we should've taken it more seriously. maybe we should've tried harder. Observation of the Day: Regarding the prices of tickets at esplande. "Eh sir, give discount la. Durian prices are going down already." i think it's too late to post now. |

APCG tomorrow!
which means there's no school for the entire of next week. To keep us as busy as ever the school has piled loads more work onto our shoulders again. save the earth! don't make anymore worksheets/assignments! Quote of the Day:"Fight On!!! Mug On!!! Never give up!!!"-Huan Hui woohoo. ri's motto has competition. |

all as one; | 9:00 AM
Cedar's investiture was pretty good, i must say. The invite was really sleek as well.
For a holding school i'm quite glad to say that they managed to pull it off along with a pretty...controversial theme (about whether guys were better than girls at leading). "wah, this school very sexist leh." although it definitely ended on a politically correct note. though it was in a holding school (temporary) it was still pretty interesting though it got a little hot at the back. i particularly liked the in-the-making video, it was quite nice. maybe we could do that for our own PI as well. Another interesting thing was that they had some games planned out for the guests which definitely helped in one way or another. made new friends (not just from cedar, mind you =.=) and changed some perceptions along the way. PS: ziyang has a knack of getting in trouble for his mouth. HAHA. Quote of the Day: "Marida!"-Z(h)iyang. |

raffles royal flush. | 8:25 AM
Social Studies seems quite screwed up. Hope the teacher isn't too pissed/disappointed. I'm the ss rep, after all. zzzz.
math is murderous, chemistry is confusing, physics is perplexing while chinese is...just chinese. on the bright side, no school tomorrow! :D and the newspaper finally reported which included some RI ego-inducing stuff (about swimming, naturally) though it seems quite biased towards a few people. Shien's Lesson of the Day: "There are only 3 things to be emo over. Music, money and sex." wow o_o that's twisted. |

congratulations to the swimmers and trackers, you guys are leading the divisions!
especially the swimmers, only 1 more day to go and you guys are already owning C, B and A divisions. same goes for the RG side with the rafflesian domination! hope it keeps up, too. i hope i can keep this up, too. Quote of the Day:"homewoarghh"-Justin |

literical tragedy. | 9:26 AM
Macbeth was pretty ok today, though. Was a little long and dry, but acting was good :)
Left my handphone at the gym toilet and only realised when i was on my way at J8. Pure genius, i know. At least managed to grab some sandwiches before making to the NAFA with 5 minutes to spare. spent like a totally-so-not-worth-it 10 bucks on 7-11 today. saiz. Youth week is up! All people interested please go to guanlin's blog for more details on the crossbar challenge, mind/body/soul! turn up today was pretty good, too. I think it's due to the fact that there was more publicity than friendship week. During Dr V. Balakrishan's speech, math came into handy, too. Quote of the Day:"Remember class, he said EXPONENTIAL growth! EXPONENTIAL!"-Mrs TMH on math CCT. most died, if you're interested to know how it went. congratulations to kernchoong for his well-deserved record. happy birthday to zackiemon too! |

amiss; | 8:05 AM
i'm quite sad over how friends over the year seem to grow apart, even if it was a little. sometimes it's like everyone's moving just so fast and that you're the only one stuck behind with a sprained ankle.
you're desperately trying to keep up, definitely. but somehow you're always not good enough. i hope it changes. -- Chemistry lessons are highly amusing nowadays, apart from the usual drone of titration, whatever that is. It has proved that we are kinestetic (sp?) learners, with that reddish sucker which acts as a torchlight/toiletbowl/loudhailer which is able to um, suck water. Quote of the Day:"Now, I suck!"-KSP during chemistry lessons guess i was wrong. |
