only fools rush in. | 8:37 AM

today was a day which I met fluffy, fat and furry dogs (which are cute, yes -conforms to conformity- and getting my jeans full of fur too), had a closure by card-burning, explored a jungle (Haha!) and used glomping snakes to pose unabashedly.

rrrrrrrright :]

Oathkeeper. | 7:47 AM

well, blogging about N.Thailand should probably place priority over playing Kingdom Hearts II (for a long long long time) and emailing the contacts that we've made should also be done sooner. Pictures should (SHOULD) be uploaded as soon as the other rebellious computer gets its internet back.

RIPB Training Camp's also just around the corner, and CC OIP Gathering looms just after that. Revision for Sec 4 (O levels, no doubt) should also hang in our heads too.

Alas, KHII prevails.

I should probably start getting some chords ready, too o:

ima back from N.Thailand =)

er, posts when I don't feel sick and tired. and when I use the other comp, and when I'm free-er (GAH. 82 EMAILS IN A FEW DAYS).

:( I should probably throw away my handphone and change email without anyone knowing sometimes.

:) Take Care. Will miss all of you!

Above All. | 8:10 AM

just a random thought,

When certain groups of people mix around, they tend to develop a certain sort of behaviour that only exists at that certain period of time. then whereas whenever they go off, their behaviour just changes to something else a little bit more unfamiliar. It's like this resultant of a catalyst of the company that you're mixing with.

hmm. I think i'm rambling off again, an attempt at an insightful post.

attempt, I emphasize.

and insightful posts don't have quote of the days! =D

another one of you. | 8:20 AM

today was a weird day, in the unpredictable high-low sense.

choking on a relatively huge piece of peach was definitely one of the lowest points; which ended up in a lot of gory (fine fine, no blood) and messy details. Which i'd spare you, in case you want your innard foodies to end up where mine landed.

Buying 70-200 was a cool part though :) Along with the other equipment procured.

Gah, envious of OIP people!

sore throat now, thanks to that cursed piece of peach :/

YAY NO TRAINING TOMORROW YAY.

still waking up relatively early, nonetheless :/ Napping in the rainy afternoons' getting pretty addictive too, especially with the new-found power of the Snooze Button.

and perhaps, a new lens o:

don't let them tell you how to feel. | 8:23 AM

gah, I can't believe i'm hooked on this. and and and, Taylor Swift's Album is out today! (11 November) woooooo :] watch it anyway, if you haven't got the hint.
(I just realised how fanboy that sounded, but oh well. I think I only like her songs for this one and We Belong Together)

and you have no idea how tempting it was to buy the Jason Mraz's new CD on Sunday D:

Training's getting dreary and increasingly painful on the hands. Agh.

I like typing in disjointed sentences. Makes the post seem longer.

I'll fail English if I continue to do this though.

But, it's the holidays! :D

Quantum of Solace (hopefully) tomorrow! Progress Report tomorrow as well, sigh :/

happy 74th (I think) birthday to my grandfather! 祝你身体健康,过个快乐的生活!

alright, done with my horrible attempts at chinese. at least I tried, in a bid to salvage my chinese for Sec 4 :S oh, and happy birthday to Ben Goh and Joel too. Many people I forgot to wish here too sorrayyyyyyy.

Guitar Rehearsal for Service was pretty good today, surprisingly :] must've been all those prayers. Hope we'll be able to do well for tomorrow's Worship Service with His help.

gosh, why did we have to make each other so miserable for something meant to be happy?

So What. | 8:33 AM

To the Class of 2008,

May all your future endeavours be a bright one, and keep your passion burning on in whatever you do, be it in RJC/RI (JC Section). See you all next year, albeit in different parts of the school :] Thanks for all your mentoring and advice; and we'll be sure to carry this legacy on and on.

For now, good riddance! :D (yes, you all will be missed)

hands to fuel desire. | 7:42 AM

HR dinner was fun, albeit expensive. Thanks to Kangjie for organizing it (: really one of the only departments to ever organize these sort of dinners. took many pictures (not me, but of other people) which are on my facebook so you can go check them out if you've the time. superbly spastic, ripb-style served fresh during a buffet which cost $25.70. BMW (Broke My Wallet) sia

do check this out, it has loads of cool stuff in it. though it's a bit outdated. "Every other person appears so brilliant but you shouldn't be intimidated because a lot of them are faking it. On the other hand, some people like to pretend that they aren't studying at all when they are actually true-blue muggers - great actors." but nevertheless, very satirically funny.

moral conscience's being attacked day-by-day.
no kidding when they said "Prepare to Die." when they handed over HR to us.
RIPC work ain't going to well either.
Gym Season's pushed forward. Trainings galore.

Am I really up to it?

I don't have a slightest idea.

euthanasia for euphemism. | 8:02 AM

Year End Assembly was dramatic as usual in the typical Mr-Law Fashion o: with all the Wheel of Law's Fortunes (with Giant Stuff Toy Monkeys and Disposable Underwears as prizes) and the Batch Song at the field. With all the pretty pretty confetti and Balloons which got kinda abused. (and Jasdeep let go a record of 7 balloons =.=)

and also Headmaster's Farewell. Turns out that there's been a lot more that he's done behind-the-scenes. Really respectable - what he's done.

and I couldn't go for Class Party because of a School EXCO shot ):

got kinda irritated today when 1/2 the morrison exco was doing unofficial work for Staff Dinner. not because of the work, mind you. It was kinda discouraging to when you see how some didn't want to put in effort/had the wrong attitude to help a teacher. At least everyone completed it :]

and NEPs got introduced to Shayne and me today! hmm.

had a pleasant surprise this morning, albeit from a Call from GLtheUltraLeenipusRex 1 minutes before Assembly started.

too bad they capped it at 75 though, hm.

My mum's best quotes. Regarding sit ups and the Good Ol' Days.

"You know ah, last time when I was around your age, I used to be able to do 90 sit ups (in one minute)!"

mood of the day: surreal

10 promises to my Dog was pretty cute - although Socks for a dog's name is weird but still cute, nonetheless.

felt as though I was drifting past the day - was almost late for RIPB photoshoot because I thought it started at 2 when it actually started at 1.40, sigh. Don't blame me if I look terribly spastic.....or something.

Sleeping/Karoke Auditorium gave KT and I the very-de-phail excuse to not go for gym. I bet we're screwed. and no, KT. I don't sleep in class everyday! I just do when I get the chance -sheepish smile-

we should probably start thinking of good excuses to mislead parents about Progress Reports tomorrow.

"Um, my teacher ate it."

oh my, rock songs are regaining their state of reverie in me. when the metal kicks it it's quite nice, trust me.

Rafflesian Spotlight!

Was a brilliant, brillaint (albeit tad long) 3 hour concert staged. Cool stuff is that we earned over a 1000 bucks over from this event : D

and now, because i'm horribly tired of blogging (though I haven't really done it properly yet) I'll just kope different view points from different sources.

"Rafflesian Spotlight yesterday was gooddd. The 4 hours of performances was well worth $5, and the acts were all hilariously funny/awesome. Truckload of nice songs (even the songs streaming in were ftww- dance inside, tongue tied, and gifts and curses :D), lots and lots of puns and great company (Sabrina, Emily, Krystal, Ryan, and Kenneth). Basically, it was a fantastic evening.

"My name is Biquan, but you can call me Handsome!"
"My name is Christian, but you can call me tonight -wink wink-"

HAHA. "
-Kelly

"Rafflesian Spotlight talentime show, Aaron Goh is <3<3<3. Interleches is LOLOLOL. Hitler is wtfwtfwtf. Titus is dotdotdot."-James

"and of course friday night was rs finals, which was a tremendous success (aarongoh and interleches ftw!), and all credit goes to the people behind the scenes too.

but it's been personally a bit of a letdown - i haven't been able to find the passion which i seemed to have in such abundance last year and at the beginning of this one. and of course that translated into a very superficial contribution to this year's rs.

maybe a bit of a recharge is in order.

but not as soon as my head tells me.

and looking out at the audience, feeling the sense of accomplishment at pulling this performance off during the voting sessions made me realise one thing:

i haven't been able to sit down as a normal student and enjoy events like this for almost 2 years now.

it's almost all been behind-the-scenes work, then executing it as part of the team, and the cycle repeats itself for the next event that drops by.

that is quite a big realisation, come to think of it. " -Aaron Tiong

"All the same, it was a good show, and it was awesome fun while it lasted, rehearsals in empty classrooms and outside the auditorium.

It was really a fun experience, interacting with the crowd and all.

And great job by all the Committee members! Abhinav, Michael, Gifford, Daniel John Tan, Nigel Choo, Shaun Choo, Dennis (even though you lost Fiona's two tickets), and all of you awesome people.

Great Job Biquan and Kristian.

Great job Leon. It might be a little far out to say that I know how you feel, but I do. Somewhat.

Great job BANDage, you guys were so much better than rehearsal, and JonLim says you're going to be the best band in school if you play on. And get a vocalist. :D

Great job Aaron, you were inspiringly confident.

Great job Gregory, you projected nicely.

Great job everyone in the audience, all of you contributed to the atmosphere. It was real fun and all.

Ms Low wants us to do a Chemistry song in class on Monday. That's going to be fun. "-Nigel Chua

"and RS was a success!

Thanks for everyone who came down to support the show! Even though some of you left early, some of you reached home really late (for the record I reached home at 12.30, but thank you Josiah and parents!), while some of you might not realyl enjoy the show... we from the org comm really appreciate you making the effort to come down! Thank you and we look forward to your continued support! =D

Logistics was tiring fun =DD I really had a good experience learning how to get stuff, move stuff around, etc etc." - Dennis Heng

--

Well, I didn't seek the author(s)'s permission for these, but oh well o: hopefully they're not counted as intellectual property as of yet.

Busy times ahead, perhaps even more than ever. I'm just glad RS is over (haha, not that it was horrible, it's just good to clear some paperwork. or rather, concertwork)

Hope you guys really did enjoy it (:

[Oh oh oh, and I got a new nickname. and flowers, too. (from a guy who had too many flowers and had to clear some, so it's not what you're thinking of)]

keep by this for the year ahead, won't you? it's going to get tough, but don't you ever forget the last condition.

hold on to your faith.
