refusing reality. | 8:35 AM
today was relaxing, somehow (not because I dozed off in lesson. I didn't, though I was close to) because for once I didn't have something on between gym and photog.
and just before I forget to do so, Have a great trip Rayne! Happy Birthday Liqi! Quote of the Day: KSP: "Where should we put dangerous chemicals near to?" 4A: "JOHN YU!" -- paradox- "A seemingly contradictory statement that may nonetheless be true." |

maybe if we didn't have the world. | 7:35 AM
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Author is currently on very-tired mode, which means he is very-tired. Post will also be very-tired too, and is very-lazy to be continued. On a less-tired note, Happy Birthday to Kirk, Gifford and Trisha! :D Quote of the Day: Charles: Johnson! Why are you reading that 'Life after Death' book in Math Lesson?! This is not the period to be doing so as Math is a DEAD period. X: Oh, so after Math is life after death la! -- so even when the world's against you you will never walk alone. |

words in a closed book. | 7:27 AM
Happy Chinese New Year to everyone!
Cue the usual puns: ox-picious, 牛year, moo-re good luck, etc : D Whether or not you had fun meeting relatives-you-never-knew-existed, lost loads of money gambling, trying hard to be natural before receiving Hong Bao -that's Red Packets- or stuffing yourself with CNY goodies, hope everyone had a good rest (albeit plagued with Lit Worksheets) It was a good rest, but alas, it can never be enough. -- and even if it can never be enough, being close is good enough. |

perhap it's for the best. | 8:55 AM
reading some of my juniors' blogs can be very interesting. Kinda reminds me of what I used to talk about in those long-forgotten archives way down there, though I must warn you first that I cringed when I looked back.
But I haven't deleted those blog posts yet, because I think that even though some of the posts might be incriminating/embarrassing, they were, or still, a part of me and that there's no point running away from or deleting them. :) har har, Sec One life. -- I've increased my Chinese Vocab of how-to-say-auspicious-words! (whatever it's called in chinese) due to the CNY Talentime thingum. Extra 4 phrases ;) I'm stuffed from today's dinner. Loaded with food, chocolate, cake and what's not. Even though we didn't have our usual bout of gambling, it still seemed special. Load of work is still relatively untouched though :S Quote of the Day: “天天开心,时时快乐,纷纷精彩,苗苗幸福!” I have a very suspicious feeling that some of the words are wrong. -- sentimentalities supposed to fade. |

cold summer winds. | 7:37 AM
Chinese Lesson today was awesome :) Technically, there wasn't any lesson - but that's what made it awesome. Unless you counted Kevin not-so-wisely putting Mentos in the Pepsi Bottle.
Celebrations are pretty much on-the-way, with the different houses putting up performances tomorrow! Pretty nervous, and hopefully I don't forget anything or make a fool out of myself. Meh, what am I saying! :) Shall not let any stress, work or pressure get to the mood now. Quotes of the Day: "We were introduced to our class based PSLs, who are Michael, Johnson, Zi Yang, Ryan Chin & Benjamin mak. All of them are really really muscular."-Daniel "Keep quiet and eat your vegetables!" -Ki Hyun -- have heart, you. |

Away from here. | 7:30 AM
so, today wasn't the absolute greatest of days.
TA was okay, though. Hopefully I did decently for it. Interesting, though - the impressions of Sec Ones. Happy Birthday to Edwin Ong aka. RLP buddy! :) Quote of the Day: Nellie says: DIE DIE DIE DIE when you walk away; bengoh [hanOIp08] says: FORGIVE ME - Nellie says: HAHA when you walk away; bengoh [hanOIp08] says: FORGIVE ME - Nellie says: NOT UNLESS when you walk away; bengoh [hanOIp08] says: O GREAT ONE -- and even if you cannot hear my voice, I'll be right beside you -run. |

even if you can't hear my voice. | 8:23 AM
I was looking through our SDHM's Photos (On Facebook, no doubt) and I realised that a few of his photos (albeit better quality ones) are from Photog.
Something cool that was noted today ;) Heh. |

but it reminds me that it's not so bad. | 7:27 AM
I thought we had won today - we had better spirit, sportsmanship, cheers and maturity.
Hm, gives us something to think about as hosts to other competitors and what being gracious losers are all about. something to talk to 1B about. -- The morning rain clouds up my window and I can't see at all And even if it'd all be grey, but It reminds me that it's not so bad, It's not so bad. |

what's over is over. | 7:23 AM
Wooshie woosh.
In a blink of an eye, orientation's just about over and JRIC too. Soon enough, the young rafflesians/astronauts will be having their very own CCA, identity, reputation, etc. Orientation was tornado of fatigue, disappointment, pride, camaraderie and the Rafflesian Spirit. 1B's definitely a very good and unique class, lead by a very unique bunch of PSLs. So to Johnson, Ziyang, Clive, Ryan Chin and Ben Mak, thank you all for the experience. It's been a pleasure working with the 5 of you. And to the Orientation Comm, First Day Comm, KRMD (Pronounced Command. Or Kirk-Ryan-Max-Daniel), Registration Day Comm, Orientation Package Comm, JRIC Comm, Raffles Trail Comm (and the rest which I can't remember) a big THANK YOU goes out to all of you. And since i'm a photographer (:D) a special dedication goes out to Clement Kweh, Patrick Ang and Daniel Cheong for the photographic coverage. I'm pretty sure Kailun and Zeyang were pretty relieved, too. The memories, the friends we made, the laughter we shared, the bonds we forged, they'll never be taken away so easily. To 1B'09, I hope you all will learn about the Rafflesian Way of Life, and that you guys will never back down from a challenge. Stay United, Stay Strong, Stay Rafflesian. Fight in the sun, fight in the rain, fight to give Raffles its name. Walk to the fore donning the colours of green black white, and with spirit, zest and passion give it all you've got in the next 4 years. Darn, I really feel old now. PS: We've made a legacy! Dunking in the Basin, totally. PPS: Disclaimer - All PSLs were super high then. -- My sister's going back tomorrow :/ Welcome back Jingmin! Quote of the Day: "Eh if we dunk Max in the pool, the security guard later not happy. -sees canteen- EH THE BASIN!" -Dunkin' Max Huangs. but I can't win. but I can't do anything about it but I can continue to. |

don't you care anymore? | 7:55 AM
10 hours of sleep over 3 days - well worth it.
All the sleeping/dancing sessions in the OPs room, the spamming strepsils for sore, hoarse, dry throats, the adominishments, the laughs, the experience. Tomorrow they'll be Rafflesians! I think i'm getting old. Quote of the Day: "If you don't know what's Immortal, Look at ME!"-Mrs RS. -- don't you? |

Orientation! | 8:15 AM
to infinité and beyond!
(Will be away from 5th - 7th. However, will still be contactable via phone except when sleeping, Morning Assembly or during the three-hour talks on the third day. D: It's more frightening than fright night.) >:D |

you're always taking mine. | 6:13 AM
First Day of School in approximately 8 hours!
Which is really, really exciting AND scary at the same time. It's going to be challenging memorising 30+ names, as well as having to act as much 'wiser' and older to them. There's so much to remember, so much to do, so much to be. It's Secondary 4 already! Last year in RI. (unless you're counting the JC Section) Let's make it count. |
