presumptions no more. | 8:30 AM

RGS SLI today was kind of interesting, and hot - literally.

Woke up super early, and we were discussing in Orchard MRT if we should stalk RGS people coming out from the MRT to find out how they went to school.

And it's super super awkward when the GOH of the event suans your school. I quote, "and hailing from RI is not one of them (virtue)." AND THE ENTIRE SCHOOL present at the amphitheatre turned their heads and looked at us, including the guests from the other schools :

and it has reached a common point in Raffles Schools to think of the worst puns and jokes.
Talk about lost sheep. Haha lead-the-sheep (leadership) and lego-seas (legacies), zomgut. If Raffles is supposed to cultivate leaders, Singapore will be a wheelchair-bound country in the future.

Their cheers are very, very, very manly, like all the rumours suggest. "HOAH HOAH HOAH HOAH." and they tend to jump 18212367 octaves in the unite cheer.

1. Cue Manly voice:
"We'll fight in the sun we'll fight in the rain!"

2. Cue superduper-highpitched screams:
"AAAAAAAH!"

But it was quite cool cheering along because you know most of the cheers :)

and their performances are really quite interesting (though a little bit lame, refer to above's above) because they assimilated most of the songs together and changed the lyrics, so nice innovation on that part.

We saw their trapdoor to RI, too! How suspicious.

Quote of the Day:
"Okay so after the dragon disappears, then suddenly you see soil and grass and little bits of metal appear on the gym mat. Oh wait, this is the second floor..."-Kwun Tong

maybe if we didn't have this pressure.

just close your eyes. | 6:58 AM

PSGM today was met with a strong protest of rain and wind and lightning, which didn't let up till a long while later :( though we had a good chat with 1B, though with Zi Yang and Wei Bin it kept revolving around certain topics.

Board Meeting was pretty productive, too. Glad everything's falling into place, with only 5 more days to PI.

oh oh oh, and no lessons tomorrow x)

Quote of the Day:"You see ah, you saying girls 4 years older than you chio is like...EH! That University Graduate dam pretty leh!" -Zi Yang, on life lessons to 1B.

i'm glad you do.

nothing can be compared to you. | 7:52 AM

Studying today was pretty fun, except that I find that I have the weirdest tendency to meet people I know when i'm out. Sudohbucks was then not the option, I guess o: Phew.

And I realised how pretty phail my math is :( need to buck up buck up buck up for Math CCT on Thursday, and though the STDs (Staff Training Days, what were you thinking!) seem pretty promising, Monday has already been taken up, fully :

At least I have the YES! lollipop to get by, though I'll need more sugar than that to keep awake for tomorrow's training. Thanks anyway!

PS: I'm pretty much broke. Darn you RIPB nametags that cost $19.60.

PPS: My younger cousin is migrating to Shanghai on Thursday :(

wonder if there could be any other. | 8:40 AM

more work piles up over the 4 day week-end, with the Monday already koped by rehearsals and training and what's nots. Must not screw up studies now.

so, maybe we had a little bit more in common than we thought, hm? ;) very Toradora-ish, indeed.

9 more days to PI!

Quote of the Day:

that maybe I'm getting in your way.

RE Presentation wasn't too bad today, though it could've definitely been better. It's good to say that it went pretty well though, and hopefully the judges liked it :S

I think calling up Secondary 1s is a very very mean thing to do. I always feel very bad when I do it HAHA.

I realised how blessed I am over the past few days, with all the support coming in via friends, extended family, SMSes, phone calls, yup :)

It's reassuring, amidst the current that threatens all of us.

Dui Mian De Nu Hai Kan Guo Lai - Ah Niu

In the recent influx of femininity in RI due to overseas students, secondary 1 students have become extremely...out-of-character. Wonder how they'll be like in upper Sec, tsk ;)

and on a randomly side note, this is the 502th post! My trusty blog with a questionable name has indeed come a long long way from its humble roots.

Dental Appointment today was weird. Before that was even weirder.

1st Call
Dad: "Go find, it's on the 6th floor!"
Michael: "Orh, okay."

2nd Call
M: "Turn left (at the corridor) or turn right ah?"
D: "Turn left."

-5 minutes later-

3rd Call
M: "Really cannot find!"
D: "Turn left at the corridor then it's on your right side."

-7 minutes later of wandering around-

4th Call
M: "Eh really cannot find leh!"
D: " Look for a the Dentistry sign at the signboard!"
M: "Really don't have!"
D: "Okay you wait for me at the lift lobby."

-5 minutes later of sitting there-

5th Call
M: "STILL CANNOT FIND!"
D: "Oh, hahaha. I think I might have made a mistake, it's on the 5th floor. Hehehe..Oops!"

before you hurt. | 7:37 AM

CNY Dinner for the Elderly was really an eye-opener. Exposed to a lot more things and had the usual warm-and-fuzzy at the end of the entire program, and somehow time flashed past and before long Mr Law, the coolest year-head-of-all-time came out in his god of Fortune costume.

I think the elderly were really, really pleased that night :)

The group photos at the end were really spastic though.

Oh, and welcome back Rayne + RI Peeps who went Dwen Anh!

the lack and loss of. | 7:56 AM

when people say "relax la!"

they don't really know what it means to. relaxing means to relax even more, which means you let even more work slip past you, which means you have to go back and pick it up all again.

it's a good thought, though.

I wish I could have short-term memory so I could forget about something and not answer to anyone about it. I wish I could sleep at anytime I want and not wake up tomorrow rushing it out before school and answering to authorities. I wish I didn't have to be stuck to the computer f0r work. I wish I could delete my email. I wish I could throw away my handphone.

at times.

stupid, stupid.

torn nevers. | 7:40 AM

Gym's becoming horribly random, with that stupid MRT Game, Falling Leaves Game, Black Magic, "How Many Meh-Mehs Jumped over the Wall?", Fuzzy Wuzzy, etc.

Thanks to KaTie, Yongsheng, Milton and Alden.

Oh well, lame factor has increased substantially. Brain cell factor has unfortunately decreased, as a side-effect.

If you don't know any of the above, do tell me. It'll be good laughing at someone's frustration. : D

make it anywhere. | 8:07 AM

I somehow have this sudden thrust of nostalgia today. Okay, maybe not so because the memories of Changchun OIP have been drifting somewhat into my peripheral. Especially after helping Wei Lun with his super-ultra-cool powerpoint presentation introducing RLP2, all of these past echoes have really been creating reverbrations.

The times, the fun, the smiles everyone had.

When're the Changchun students coming to Singapore? :)

Happy Birthday Kelly!

PS: Wow, my class seems to be attracting attention. For the wrong reasons, unfortunately.
