maybe we're torn apart. | 8:56 AM
I'm tired!
Labour Day came just in time. Instead of Labour, it should be renamed as 'Rest' day so that instead of mugging our brains off (and restoring it with ice cream) we'd be able to take the time to sleep a little bit more, eat a little bit more, and slack a little bit more. maybe it'd be emptier. |

trouble is a friend. | 8:41 AM
but screw the rest,
this was never about them. this was only all about us. |

you would be here. | 8:21 AM
Are we too gold-orientated?
Everything that we aim for is Gold, Gold, Gold. No, i'm not bitter about any competitions over the past few days (WELL DONE to the Badminton, Squash, RICO, RP and Sailing C Div) I mean, like, we've never taken into account the other competitions that we've done well in. Gold or not, it's not a fair testament to our ability. It's not something that we should take excessive pride in. Look at the school website and the hall of fame outside the hall. It's funny how they don't seem to acknowledge the efforts of the numerous teams going out and giving their all for the school and at the end of the day, not being able to attain that yellow coloured piece of metal. It is good to get gold, but does that mean that we should only acknowledge those who are able to achieve 1st in everything? It is not practical to put up a congratulatory picture for every CCA, I admit. But a post on the school website updating everyone on the achievement, be it 2nd, 3rd or 4th and beyond, shouldn't be too hard. Winning isn't everything, but it is the only thing that is acknowledged for, it seems. -- Wow, I should convert this to my english blog. Something pretty insignificant happened today, but I was happy it did. It was pretty cool how something so small like bringing a Bible could have an impact, or so that's what I thought. With that, well done Raffles :) You gave your all, and that's enough for me. TNF + B Div Sailing tomorrow! call me when you're sober | 8:29 AM
ORA was pretty fun :)
Somehow, even though I burnt most of my money (ouch) and had to end up borrowing $5 from Zeyang, I thought it was about 6-7 hours well spent :) Jogathon was a walkathon, though, though the photographers were the only few running =.= Hmph, should have gotten those $1 coupons. But it was really good seeing how we were selling loads of Raffles Merchandise (yay pencil cases + badges!), unlike the store beside..er nevermind. :D PS: I would like a 24mm-105mm F4L + Canon 5D Mark II, if anyone gets it. |

just a little late. | 7:10 AM
it is inevitable, that after nearly a week or so that I must go to www.blogger.com, type in XXXX XXXX XXXXX XXXX (you can try it) under the user/password section, get it wrong, try again, and finally get into this page where i'm typing little black words into a big white box.
school's been slipping in, filling the void of time left after gym competition's over. It's quite weird, going back to gym everyday, jumping, swinging around, playing captain's ball or badminton (occasionally). Was almost tempted to go to Rhythmic gym competition today - I think I sort of missed the competition grounds and the electric atmosphere only it can bring. These few days i've been contemplating a bit more on my Secondary School life (or what's left of it, anyway) and I've realized that I really need to buck up on things :/ GC's been awesome so far, doing many many things such as ORA and match supports. Really pro gryphlings :) DB's been under the systematic prowess of the evil mastermind PY. Nothing more needs to be said, as he will probably he know since he will say, "I have my sources." WD also has a booth for ORA selling RM. Very nice designs so far, and they have dedicated Sec 4s! CD, er, nevermind. I trust Moses and Adil! Got new campaign, so it's good for them. HR, well. PI was quite good, I suppose, so this is our next major project: Org Comms. It was quite disappointing to (hear, I wasn't there) the turn out rate wasn't so good, and all those things. It's just quite frustrating targeting a group of people who have cynical minds, which I've come to realize after years here. R&R's not done, Org Comm Allocations are (by right finalized) not announced, or they should be, but it's not complete probably due to a screw up by my part. The Sub-departments don't seem to be going on with the enthusiasm and the initiatives that they'd like to have, and maybe we're lacking aim. I think i've been pretty useless with Shayne solo-ing most of it. I think we need to stop moving, wake up, take a step back, and change direction and move on before it's too late. somehow i'm in a very literary mood today. Must be the lack of posts. Anyway, ORA tomorrow! :) Hope to not get scammed by drink/food/game vendors too much. setting the bar. | 9:41 AM
and there goes (perhaps) the last day of Gym Competition as a competitor, perhaps.
Somehow, as KT phrases it, it's our last gym day. SIGH. I'm looking at Kwun Tong's post on madapple.wordpress and somehow I feel overwhelmed by his literary prowess. Anyway, to the comments! and for once, something i planned for gym went okay! (except that there were only 15 ppl) gym peeps went seoul garden and some lip-smacking goodness prepared by michael presented itself! haha mike is a professional seoul gardener hohohoho thanks Kwun Tong. I have deduced that RI Gym people totally cannot eat Seoul Garden. First thing come "EAT ICE CREAM!" and burn out in 15 minutes. after that wonderful dessert of mint ice cream + mint float (and gerald’s sickening food inventions) as well as brownies drenched in chocolate fondue, martyn and i nearly were made to puke due to this shitty rigged game created by milton, asnawi and aizat. of course it involved a sick concoction of sorts including mashed hard boil egg (w/ the shell FTW!!!) chocolate fondue in boiling soup, laksa soup, ice creams, soft drinks and basically everything crap. haha martyn’s face (and bulging red eyes) really damn funny! ONE WORD: PWNED! This is what Seoul Garden is for - Zong Ji Mi Ma and amidst other stupid games. Everyone ran to the toilet when Milton went out of the house to greet his cousin. HAHA, Rafflesians, where is your integrity??! Oh, and Milton's table tennis table had a dead bird that fell to pieces (seriously). Pieces of wings (not those that you'll find in KFC) were stranded over the floor + table.
Haha, I'm not the horror type. Mattress + iPod was my saviour :) Great times indeed :) -- maybe Artistic Competition and meetings at City Hall was God's way of making it up through His Grace :)
