Hello new decade! (see, this is a much cooler phrase than HAPPY NEW YEAR. It's 10 times cooler, because you only can say it once every 10 years.)

2009!

I somehow find myself struggling to strike a position between weixuan's post/guanlin's post (see: fat/and rea) Guan Lin, I mean no harm! I've put a / just to prevent misunderstandings because she's really not fat. :D

I'm not about to blow my own horn, but looking back I realize that i'm going to miss the Secondary School life, 1B the cute/horny class of cute demonic spawns, Photog, Gym, PB, Morrison..

I realized that I came into RI with purposes of gym, mainly (DSA.) I never thought that I'd get so in love with photog, fall into the dark side of RIPB (see: Mafia) nor find myself not caring about my throat during Morrison cheering.

I've grown a fair bit, too (not just in height. It wouldn't be a fair bit, if it was height solely.) If you see my 2006 posts, you'd sense a lot more immaturity, a lot more petty anger, and a lot more inappropiate use of the alphabets. PS: I dare you to!

Someow in 2006 when we stepped in the seniors looked a lot more imposing and tall. In 2009 I realised that most of the time it's just a feint (haha). Trademarks of a good leader are to Lead people where they ought to be, and not where they want to go. And you have to act like you're 100% convinced this is where you are going, and where you should go.

1A/2A:
This class loved acting, and it turned out 1/3 took lit, which is a huge amount already. I think it was the Drama Challenge in Sec 2 that inspired most of us to take Literature, actually. We may have had our differences and frictions (alas, the 13/14 adolescence!) and bitching was involved, which thus created the entity known as the Currypuff Girls. They made a name for themselves really quickly, as you'd realise. These friendships would be further solidified when we took part in Morrison events for the next 4 years or so. Our class was really enthusiastic about most things :D

3A/4A:
This class loved soccer! Hahaha. I must admit, it was initally extremely frustrating dealing with 3A because there were a lot of new faces, a lot of rule breakers, and a lot of grey areas in rulebooks. When does compassion come in? Is it worth it to let one slip away? It got to a point I got so frustrated and impatient I asked TMH to step in, and somehow by God's grace everything after that started improving. 4A this year was an awesome class together. Everyone didn't seem to find a fault in anyone, and by give and take everything just fell right into place :D I'm really glad for this class as well, and though we had our pre formed cliques, I found myself comfortable with everyone in the class :D

Photog:
I think i've improved! This year has been a really frustrating one, although seeing the turnout of Secondary 1 juniors is really gratifying, honestly speaking. I realized in Sec 3 that interacting with juniors was extremely important, and I'm glad we emphasized it this year. Though we may not have been visibly appreciated with anything, memories are more than enough. BECAUSE WE SHOOT BEYOND SIGHT!

Gym:
10 years in my inventory already! I somehow find that gym's really toughened me up mentally. Whenever I start doing PT I push myself more than in primary school (you will not believe how slack we are in primary school) It taught me a lot more about dedication too, because many things clashed at once. I'm glad to say that I gave gym my 100% in secondary 4, and I was duely rewarded with indivs. YAY!

PB:
To be very frank, in Secondary 2 I thought prefects were screwed up and easy to fool. HAHAHAHA. But after 2 amazing years in Raffles I realised that prefects aren't meant to book people. It's really a lot more behind-the-scenes work than what the students see, and we're seriously underappreciated. And I find it admirable that most of us don't complain about this position, which may sometimes be perceived as a burden. People stereotype us, but hey, that's what the reputation of excellence brings! (hahahaha.)

I'll do friends post soon. And to keep up with my tradition of not-following-up-on-blog-promises, don't wait up on me if you never see it again. >:D

we're torn between where each of us stand
you say so oh much about love and how we're meant to be
but you don't even know who "I" and "me" are supposed to mean.
